Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – September 2025: Nepal’s culinary talent has made the nation proud on the international stage. Team Nepal brings home Bronze Medal at the prestigious Culinaire Malaysia 2025, one of Asia’s largest and most competitive culinary exhibitions.
Representing Nepal in this global event were Chef Sanil Dangol, Chef Padam Bahadur Magar, and Chef Chattra Bahadur Thapa Magar. The team was guided and led by Chef Padam Bahadur Ale Magar, whose mentorship and leadership played a vital role in showcasing Nepal’s rich flavors and culinary artistry at the competition.

Culinaire Malaysia follows the Worldchefs international scoring system, where every competitor or team is judged against strict global standards. A Gold with Distinction is awarded for a perfect score of 100, a Gold Medal is given for 90 to 99 points, and a Silver Medal for 80 to 89 points. A Bronze Medal, which Team Nepal achieved, is awarded for a score between 70 and 79 points, representing a strong international standard of culinary performance.
This recognition at Culinaire Malaysia 2025 marks a significant milestone for Nepal’s gastronomy community and reinforces the country’s growing presence on the global culinary stage. Chef Nepal had earlier reported on the team’s participation, and we are delighted to now share the news of their success with our readers and supporters.
