Kathmandu – The 10th Dhading Festival is scheduled to take place from 15 to 25 Magh at the open ground in Dhadhingbessi, Ward No. 3, Nilkantha Municipality. The festival is organized by the Dhadhing Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the patronage of Nilkantha Municipality.


During a press conference on Tuesday, the organizers announced that the festival will be held under the theme: “Sustainable development of Dhadhing and the foundation of its economy: agriculture, tourism, water resources, and industrial infrastructure.”


The festival will feature a total of 160 stalls, including 100 for businesses, 20 for small and domestic industries, and 40 for agriculture and other products.

Objectives of the Festival

The festival aims to develop the district as an industrial and commercial hub, promote local products in the market, and encourage healthy competition. It will also focus on modernizing agriculture, developing tourism sites, and promoting local arts, literature, and culture. The event is expected to create investment opportunities and boost the district’s economy.

According to organizers, over 1,00,000 visitors are expected to attend, and the total business turnover is estimated to reach around three crore rupees.


Main Attractions

The festival will include direct dialogues with stakeholders, agricultural and domestic product exhibitions and competitions, cultural displays, and performances. Special activities for promoting tourism at Bhairabi Temple will also be held. All local governments will display their special products, and district offices for livestock, agriculture, and forestry will provide stalls and advisory services.

Visitors will also enjoy local cuisine, fun fairs, a children’s park, and daily cultural performances by nationally and locally recognized artists.


To ensure the success of the festival, several committees have been formed. The main organizing committee has 151 members, led by Chairman Ramkumar Dallakoti and Senior Vice-Chair Rohit Bhandari. Additionally, a 51-member advisory committee, a 25-member secretariat, and 24 subject-specific committees will oversee the festival’s smooth execution.
