Chef Rabindra Mahat is a passionate young culinary professional from Pokhara, Nepal, currently working as a cook in Slovenia. His journey into the culinary world began at an early age, sparked by watching cooking shows that slowly turned his curiosity into a clear passion for food.

Originally from Nawalpur, Rabindra’s first experience with cooking came at home, learning alongside his mother. She became his first teacher, introducing him to traditional cooking methods, including preparing meals over fire. These early experiences built a strong foundation and connection with food, shaping his interest beyond a simple hobby.

At the age of 16, Chef Rabindra moved to Pokhara to continue his education while also stepping into the hospitality industry. He began his career as a waiter, gaining valuable experience in customer service and understanding the dynamics of a restaurant environment. During this time, he also explored roles such as barista work, gradually building confidence and discipline in the industry.

His dedication helped him develop a deeper understanding of different cuisines, techniques, and presentation styles.

A key turning point in his journey came during his time at Mo:Mo Restaurant and Café, where he fully transitioned into the culinary field. This experience allowed him to refine his skills and gain hands-on exposure in a professional kitchen environment.

With over three years of experience in hospitality, Chef Rabindra took a significant step forward by moving to Europe to expand his career. Now based in Slovenia, he is focused on mastering continental cuisine and improving his plating techniques to meet international standards.
