Chef Rabi Chuhan’s culinary journey is a story of perseverance, passion, and self-made success. Born into a middle-class family in Manthali–3, Ramechhap, Nepal, Chef Rabi grew up learning the values of hard work, discipline, and responsibility. Despite limited resources, he was determined from an early age to build a better future for himself and his family.


While completing his college education, Chef Rabi began working as a kitchen helper in Nepal, balancing studies and work with dedication and focus. These early experiences laid the foundation for his understanding of kitchen operations, teamwork, and the value of learning from every task. His willingness to learn and grow quickly set him apart and ignited a lifelong passion for culinary arts.

Seeking broader opportunities, Chef Rabi moved to New Delhi, India, where he continued his professional journey in hospitality. Starting again at the entry level, he steadily progressed through the kitchen hierarchy, eventually earning the position of Chef de Partie. His time in India allowed him to gain deep experience in Asian and Indian cuisine, refine his cooking techniques, and strengthen his leadership and organizational skills.

Driven by ambition and the need to support his family, Chef Rabi later moved to Kuwait. There, he worked for three years as a Chinese Senior Chef de Partie, gaining valuable international experience and mastering Chinese culinary traditions. His dedication, adaptability, and commitment to excellence enabled him to thrive in a high-pressure, multicultural kitchen environment.

Today, Chef Rabi continues to expand his culinary horizons in the Bahamas, working as a line cook and exploring a variety of international cuisines. With over eight years of experience, his journey—from a young boy in Ramechhap to an internationally trained and adaptable chef—is a testament to resilience, continuous learning, and the courage to pursue dreams across the world. Chef Rabi Chuhan’s story is an inspiration to aspiring chefs, showing that passion, hard work, and perseverance can transform dreams into reality.
