Chef Pushkal Koirala’s culinary journey began with a quiet but powerful inspiration: watching senior chefs command the kitchen. Their confidence, coordination, leadership, and discipline left a deep impression on him. He was drawn not only to the food they created, but also to the way they managed people, handled pressure, and carried responsibility during every service.

Born in Bastipur, Lalbandi, Sarlahi, in the Terai region of Nepal, Chef Pushkal grew up with the values of hard work, humility, and patience. These values became the foundation of his professional life. When he entered the culinary field, he started from a small position and faced the everyday challenges that come with kitchen life. The long hours, pressure of service, strict standards, and constant need to improve were not easy, but he accepted each challenge as part of his learning.

Over the past 23 years, Chef Pushkal has built a strong career in the culinary profession, working in Nepal, India, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Cyprus, and other international kitchens. His professional path has taken him through different roles, from junior kitchen positions to higher responsibilities, where he learned preparation, production, menu support, hygiene management, inventory control, team coordination, and kitchen leadership.

His major areas of expertise include Indian, Continental, Italian, Tandoori, and grill cuisine. Through years of hands-on experience, he has developed strong skills in food preparation, taste balance, presentation, kitchen organization, and maintaining consistency during busy operations. Whether working with à la carte menus, buffet service, or volume kitchen production, he believes that quality should never be compromised.

For Chef Pushkal, the most important lesson in the kitchen is that no work is small. Every task, whether simple or complex, has value when done with discipline, honesty, and perfection. He believes that even the smallest responsibility can shape a person’s character and prepare them for leadership. In his view, a good chef is not made only by talent, but by effort, patience, integrity, and the willingness to learn every day.

He also believes that learning has no end. A chef must remain open to new ideas, new techniques, and even small lessons from anyone in the kitchen. This attitude has helped him grow through every stage of his career. Instead of rushing success, he focused on improving himself daily and preparing for the next responsibility.
