Kathmandu — In a significant milestone for Nepal’s culinary community, Chef Nepal has successfully onboarded its first 50 Certified Members, marking the emergence of a growing global network of Nepali chefs united under a single platform. The Chef Nepal Certified Membership, a paid annual subscription program, has been introduced with the objective of building a strong international network of Nepali culinary professionals while fostering recognition, storytelling, and professional growth. The initiative also contributes to creating a sustainable revenue stream to support the organization’s ongoing operations and industry-focused activities.
The first cohort of 50 members represents 23 countries, reflecting the widespread presence and influence of Nepali chefs across the world. Nepal records the highest number of members with 12 chefs, followed by Dubai with 6 and Kuwait with 5, while Saudi Arabia and Australia each contribute 3 members. The network further extends to countries including the United Kingdom, United States, Japan, and Romania, along with representation from Malta, Ireland, Greece, India, Maldives, Papua New Guinea, and several others, demonstrating the expanding global footprint of Nepali culinary professionals.

This diverse international presence highlights the growing relevance of Chef Nepal as a platform that connects chefs beyond geographical boundaries and brings together a community driven by shared identity and professional ambition. The organization has recognized these initial 50 members as “Founding Members” of the certified membership movement, acknowledging their role as early adopters who are contributing to shaping a long-term vision for Nepal’s culinary identity on the global stage.
Through this membership, Chef Nepal aims to provide chefs with opportunities to showcase their professional journeys, build meaningful industry connections, gain visibility through media and digital storytelling, and engage in collaborative opportunities within the global culinary community. Over the past few years, the platform has positioned itself as a dynamic force in Nepal’s culinary landscape through initiatives including competitive cooking shows, professional masterclasses, industry collaborations, and digital content that celebrates Nepali gastronomy and talent.

With the successful onboarding of its first 50 certified members, Chef Nepal has taken a strong step toward building a global culinary ecosystem that recognizes the contributions of Nepali chefs, amplifies their voices, and connects them to opportunities worldwide. As the network continues to expand beyond 23 countries, the organization aims to further strengthen its reach, develop strategic partnerships, and position Nepali chefs more prominently on the international culinary map. Emphasizing the long-term vision of the initiative, the team stated that this milestone represents only the beginning of a broader movement focused on community, recognition, growth, and global impact.
